SAP Maintenance and Support Services

Formed in 2013, Alteram Solutions brought together a team of highly experienced ICT specialists with technical and implementation know-how, many years of project experience as well as hands-on business leadership from both a consulting and a client perspective.

Alteram has successfully performed SAP implementation, and maintenance and support services for some of the front running SAP accredited service companies as well as Government Departments. We have performed the data migration project for EOH SAP division at Amathole Local Municipality as well as at Umthlatuze Municipality.  Alteram has also implemented SAP Cloud for Customer at the Department of Water and Sanitation winning an Innovation and SAP Quality Award for SAP Africa in the process. We currently provide SAP support and development services to the Department of Employment and Labour and the Department of Water and Sanitation.

At the Department of Employment and Labour we offer maintenance and support services across the SAP and non- SAP systems on a day to day basis, to include installation of patches, security notes, enhancement notes, transfer of skills to internal staff by following the necessary policies within ITIL process and Governance which are followed by the Department. We are capable to scale and grow with The Department’s unique and complex requirements.

Their SAP landscape maintained and supported by us is SAP ECC6 running on Oracle databases, extending to some modules such as the SAP CRM (for Claims, Medicals, pension etc.), SAP EIP, SAP BO, SAP BW and SAP NetWeaver (XI), SAP AESG and SAP PSCD (Public Service Collection & Disbursement) as examples.

With certain artefacts and IDE tools in use on the SAP stack are SolMan, Developer Studio, Visual Studio, NetBeans, Microsoft RDP, plus some additional Non-SAP technology in use on the SQL server and Oracle side.

We offer similar services to the Department of Water and Sanitation. During our support period, we have extended the SAP solution to be flexible for implementation at all the Agencies of the Department, including two of the Catchment Management Agencies (CMA). We are in the process of moving to the Intel cloud-based landscape from the ECC6 platform.
